Hi, I'm heading to Iraq in the spring, and hope to lean some on your website for workout ideas while I'm there. So I've got to ask about this workout. Do you warm up, do one set of BP with your 2 rep max, and then cool off? I just want to make sure I understand what you're posting. Thanks!

Eric,

This would be setting a new 2rm (or at least a current one). You would warm the lift up like normal then the usual routine is to take something 90% of your best or so. (We'll use a 300lb 2rm)
(90%) 270
then a try at a new PR, say 305
Assuming that is made, you'll typically make another, higher attempt, or might bag it for the day and do some assistance work.

Thanks, JP, that makes sense. I appreciate the feedback.
