Rest Day 100725

JP's Rest Day tip #1: How to Increase Your Appetite

A voracious appetite can be a hell of a valuable tool when one is trying to gain muscle mass. It is no secret that big gains require big eating, consuming lots of good quality foods in multiple meals throughout the day. It's quite difficult to get the calories needed to support growth when you squirm at the thought of eating again. Here's a tip that will help stoke that appetite fire and get your belly rumbling all day long in anticipation of the next slow moving animal you will be masticating; First thing upon waking (preferrably after brushing your teeth and the awkward, half-boner peeing ritual) down a handful of BCAA caps or take a swig of protein powder in water or Crystal Light and then go for a nice long walk (30 min or so) at a relatively fast pace. Take the dogs with you if you have them, they'll love it. Believe me, the 30 minute walk WILL NOT interfere in the least with your strength or size gains, and will actually help because you will be hungry as hell the rest of the day. Be sure to down some carbs and protein upon returning. Try it out and drop me a line on here or the Q&A to report your experiences. You will not be disappointed. -JP

A nice Chanko Nabe of Ground Beef, Shrimp, Cabbage, Mushrooms, and Chicken Broth. I put it over rice or pasta, or eat it as a stand alone later in the day with some Cucumbers.

Looks like the recipe for the stew is "Ground Beef, Shrimp, Cabbage, Mushrooms, and Chicken Broth. I put it over rice or pasta, or eat it as a stand alone later in the day with some Cucumbers"

;)

duh! How is it cooked?

Normally you cook stew or soup on a grill or maybe in a tiny tea cup with a lighter under it.
