Rest Day 100905

JP's Rest Day Tip #7: Want a Cheap and Ridiculously Easy Mass Gain Protein Source?

Chuck Roast, look for it in the meat department. It is fattier than an eye roast, and tastes much better in my opinion. For someone looking to grow, a 2.5-3lb Chuck Roast thrown in a slow cooker on low for a few hours with a couple of cans of gravy or tomato soup makes for a whole days worth of good meals. The meat cooks apart, and is truly delicious. Chuck Roast is inexpensive and can be had for less than $2 per lb if you catch it on sale. We all know how cheap and easy carbohydrate sources like rice and pasta are to buy and prepare, prep some in bulk, or make single servings if you have the time. Use the drippings/sauce/ gravy from the roast to enhance the flavor. Put the roast on first thing in the morning and finish it before the day is over, add a small shake on top of each serving and watch the quality pounds pack on.

#63 Quit the game seconds after this shot was taken. Meanwhile his little big brother was in the stands getting a tailbone bruise from the bleachers, and nibbling almonds.

Interesting Fact: One bale of cotton will yield over 200 pairs of jeans.
