Training Day 090714

On the Minute

120ft Sandbag Hill Sprint x 10

(Seeing as how they did this type of thing this past weekend at the CrossFit games, I suppose we will start doing it;) )

This past Saturday I spotted Hispanic Homo, and ghost of Greyskull's past, Carlos, walking out of ACME (where he was presumably visiting Bony for some hard salami at the deli counter). Carlos has lost 25 unnecessary pounds and needs to return to training lest he be blown away by a stiff wind. He claims that his new found slim look is all the rage at the beach this year. I however think that the guys at Rehobeth will enjoy a bigger, burlier Carlos next year should he man up and set foot in the walls of Greyskull again. Bring it on back Carlita, we miss your Goucho pants and sweet Salsa moves.

"Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it."
- General Dwight D. Eisenhower

Interesting Fact: In the 1930's, American track star Jesse Owens used to race against horses and dogs to earn a living. In the early 2000's, Bony "performed" with horses and dogs as well in Tijuana, he however refused to profit monetarily, claiming that it was "a labor of love".

Word of the Day: renege

need duct tape. sandbag days are turning into greyskull's weekly beach workout.

Hmmmm...The sandbags at the games looked nice and comfy - They appeared to be wrapped in a nice black cloth that could easily be drape over the shoulders... not to complain or anything, but our sandbags are wrapped in duct tape and at times are leaking sand down our back.

Did I mention ours weigh 50lbs? Did I mention we have been doing sandbag hill sprinting for months now and I would have enjoyed a 35lb non-leaking sandbag?
