Rest Day 100808

JP's Rest Day Tip #3: A Simple Addition

For those following Tip #2 and adding small protein shakes with their meals to up their protein intake, try adding a tablespoon of olive oil to the mix as well. It sounds terrible, but I promise you won't find the taste, particularly if you're using Crystal Light or diet soda for your shakes. One TBSP will be roughly 120 calories. Add this in four times per day and you've just added almost 500 calories! Two TBSP's in the same example would get you almost another 1000. Layering in calories from clean sources in a manner like this is much preffered to ice cream sundaes before bed when it comes to building a solid body. This layering approach is great as well if and when the time comes to drop some fat. Simply pull the pieces one layer at a time. Hmmm if we were doing the above and noticed some pudge forming, how could we cut out 500 calories? These methods are much simpler, more productive, and easier to implement than a conventional "bulking" ideology of filling up on junk foods for calories.
